gurl licence
Copyright © 2026 BitMaster s.r.o. All rights reserved.
This licence covers gurl and gurl-run, their installers and their documentation (together, "the Software"). By installing or using the Software you accept these terms.
1. What you may do
BitMaster s.r.o. ("we") grants you a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to:
- install and use the Software on any number of devices, for personal or commercial purposes, including work for your employer and your clients;
- run gurl-run in your own CI pipelines;
- give unmodified copies of the installers to people inside your own organisation.
2. What you may not do
- Sell, rent, lease or sublicense the Software, or charge for it in any way.
- Publish or distribute the Software outside your organisation. Point people to https://gurldesk.com instead.
- Modify the Software, or decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer it, except where applicable law allows this despite this restriction.
- Remove or change any copyright notice, trademark or licence text in the Software.
- Use the name gurl or our logo for your own product.
3. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights, title and interest in it, including the source code, which is not published. You receive no rights except those stated in section 1.
4. Your data
gurl runs on your machine and does not need an account. Your requests, environments, history and results stay where you store them, and they remain yours.
5. Third-party components
The Software includes open-source components. Each is provided under its own licence, listed in full in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt and on the About screen. Those licences apply to those components and are not limited by this licence.
6. Future versions
This licence covers the versions released under it. We may offer later versions, or additional features, under different terms, including paid terms. A version you received under this licence stays usable under it.
7. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by applicable law. You are responsible for how you use it, including the load you send to any server with the benchmark and the watch.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damage, or for lost data, profit or revenue, arising from the use of or inability to use the Software. Nothing in this licence limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Termination
This licence ends automatically if you break its terms. You must then stop using the Software and delete your copies.
10. Governing law
This licence is governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. The courts of the Slovak Republic have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection law gives you the right to sue where you live.
