Environments & variables
An environment is a named set of variables that belongs to a project. One environment is active at a time, and the switcher sits beside the request title.
Write {{name}} anywhere in a URL, a header, a parameter or a body, and gurl fills in the value from the active environment when it sends.
{{baseUrl}}/orders/{{orderId}}
Secret variables
Mark a variable as secret when it holds a credential. A secret value stays on the machine that typed it: when the project is shared through git, the variable travels with its name and without its value, and each colleague fills it in once.
Variables from a response
A capture writes a value from a response into a variable, so a login request can hand its token to every request after it. See Checks & captures.
