# Running in CI

`gurl-run` runs the same project documents your team shares through git. Point it at the repository, pick what to run, and pass the variables your pipeline knows.

```text
gurl-run -dir ./api -tag smoke -var baseUrl=https://staging.example.com
```

Every request prints one line with its result, status, duration and URL, followed by a summary.

## Options

| Flag | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| `-dir` | The folder holding the shared project documents. Default: the current folder. |
| `-project` | Only this project, by title or uuid. |
| `-tag` | Only the requests carrying this tag. |
| `-var name=value` | A variable. Repeat it for more. |
| `-continue` | Keep going after a failure. |
| `-timeout` | How long one request may take. Default: 30s. |
| `-max-duration` | Fail a request that takes longer than this, for example `500ms`. |

## Exit codes

| Code | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| 0 | Every request passed its checks. |
| 1 | At least one request failed. |
| 2 | The run could not start. |

Secret variables are not in the repository, so pass them with `-var` from your pipeline's own secret store.
